Gel polish has taken the beauty world by storm becoming a modern beauty staple for its durability, glossy finish, and widespread availability. Showcase your skills in this popular treatment by demonstrating perfect execution on one hand only.
1. Your entry must be done on natural nails; no extensions are permitted.
2. Coat your nails with any gel polish in a solid red colour, and finish with a shiny topcoat (matte finishes are not allowed). Keep it simple—no fancy designs, glitter, shimmer, or 3D elements allowed.
3. For details on how to submit your entry pictures, please refer to the provided "Picture/Video Guidelines" No digital manipulation is allowed.
4. All entries must be original and created for NailOn Global! No repeated entries from previous competitions are allowed. All works that are not original or have been published on social media, previous competitions, or magazines will be immediately disqualified from the NailOn Global Championships.
1. Manicure Procedure (Max 10 points)
- Cuticle Care: Ensure cuticles are smooth and free from injury or irritation after the treatment.
- Transformation: Show a noticeable improvement in the appearance of the nails from before to after the manicure.
Scoring: Each bullet point is worth 1-5 points.
2. Nail Shape (Max 10 points)
- Consistency: Ensure all nails have a similar and consistent shape.
- Suitability: Choose a shape and length that complement the hand.
Scoring: Each bullet point is worth 1-5 points.
3. Colour Application (Max 10 points)
- Even Coverage: Gel polish should cover the entire nail evenly and be applied close to the cuticles.
- Clean Application: Ensure no product touches the cuticles and the application is smooth.
- Uniformity: Apply gel polish uniformly around the cuticles with consistent distance and shape.
- Thin Coating: Apply the gel polish thinly for a natural look.
- Edge Coverage: Evaluate the cleanliness and appearance of the free edge, whether painted or filed, ensuring it is neat and well-defined.
Scoring: Each bullet point is worth 1-2 points.
4. Finish Look (Max 10 points)
- Smooth Surface: The surface of the nails should be smooth and even.
- Shape Uniformity: The shape of each nail surface should be similar.
- Cleanliness: Nails should be free from dust or oil.
- Topcoat Quality: Ensure there are no bumps or bubbles.
- Shine: The topcoat should be shiny.
Scoring: Each bullet point is worth 1-2 points.
5. Overall Impression (Max 10 points)
- First Impression: Assess the overall initial impact of the nails.
- Application Perfection: Ensure no improvements are needed and all the above criteria are met.
